Arka Microbial Consortium Reduces Use of Fertilizers (by 30%)

Arka Microbial Consortium is a group of various microbes that helps in plant growth which includes those that can provide Nitrogen, Phosphorous, and Zinc. It helps in faster germination of the seeds, quicker maturation of the seedlings for replanting them, stronger seedlings, decrease the use of fertilizers by 25-30 % and increase the vegetables’ yield by 5-15 %. 200 g Consortium will suffice for taking care of 200 g vegetable seeds and 1 kg Consortium should be added to make 1 ton of cocopeat nutrient-rich.

Mix 20 gm consortium in one litre of water and transplant the seedlings in the field on the 10th day after planting to control the pests and make the seedlings grow vigorously.

The liquid solution of Consortium can be mixed with 1.5 litres of 200 litres of water and sprayed every two weeks to effectively prevent bacterial blight on fruits including pomegranate. The new growth aid was discovered by the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research in Bengaluru.
